Roaches, bed bugs, ants, rats, and mice are all creepy crawlies that may lead you to call your exterminator. With each separate type of infestation, you will be faced with different types of removal processes. You don’t need to worry about every type of bug or small animal infesting your house; only a few types like to infest your house. The most important thing to know about any type of pest problem is how to recognize that you have one.
Roaches are one of the most hated and difficult bugs to get rid of. There are several different species of roaches, and the most common is the German cockroach. Signs of a roach infestation are tiny black specs (feces) in cabinets, drawers, or seeing any bugs at any time. Roaches aren’t just the only bug that can cause serious problems.
Small brown pellets are left in cabinets where you store your pots and pans, or silverware. Or you can do spring cleaning and find nests of fluff and fuzz behind the couch, or kitchen appliances. These are nests of mice and rats, and if you are finding them you have house guests.
Spiders can often come in groups as well, building webs around your house. Most spiders are not harmful; however, there are two known deadly species in the USA. The black widow is a black spider with a red hourglass on its underbelly, whereas the brown recluse is a brown spider with a fiddle shape on its back. Signs of spiders are cobwebs, spiders, or small egg sacs hung around your house. If you have any of the above signs you need to take action quickly.
